Abstract
19.55 tahun, durasi penggunaan smartphone rata-rata per hari 404.8 menit.
smartphone addiction dengan prestasi akademik dan keterampilan klinis mahasiswa keperawatan/Nursing students are individuals who are undergoing an educational process to become professional nurses, who are required to have mastery in cognitive, psychomotor, and attitudinal aspects. In the learning process, they are very dependent on technology, especially smartphones that function not only as a means of learning but can also be a source of distraction. The purpose of the study was to describe smartphone addiction, academic achievement, and clinical skills in nursing students. This research method uses descriptive quantitative with a crosssectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 341 respondents using probability sampling technique with proportionate stratified random sampling
method conducted in February-March 2025. The analysis technique used univariate analysis. The instrument used in this study was the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) questionnaire with a total of 21 questions. The results of this study showed that the majority of respondents were between 18-23 years old with an average of 19.55 years, the average duration of smartphone use per day was
404.8 minutes. Most students use smartphones for social networking (99.1%) with the highest level of smartphone addiction in the moderate category (53.4%). In
academic achievement, the majority of students were in the very satisfactory category (75.1%), for clinical skills as many as 98.5% of students passed the skill test (clinical practice) and all students passed (100%) in the laboratory attitude assessment. This study shows that smartphone addiction in nursing students is classified as a moderate category but the duration of use per day is relatively long with very satisfying academic achievement results and clinical skills results that
show effective learning. Future research is expected to examine the relationship of smartphone addiction with academic achievement and clinical skills of nursing
students.
