Karakteristik menstruasi tidak teratur dikategorikan oleh frekuensi, jumlah darah, lama hari menstruasi, dan kelainan yang menyertai. Menstruasi tidak teratur mengganggu kesehatan sistem reproduksi dan menurunkan kualitas hidup mahasiswi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan indeks massa tubuh dan stres terhadap siklus menstruasi tidak teratur di satu universitas swasta Tangerang. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif korelasional dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi adalah mahasiswi di satu universitas swasta Tangerang, sedangkan sampel (N=135) dengan kriteria inklusi umur 18-22 tahun dan mempunyai riwayat menstruasi tidak teratur tiga bulan berturut-turut atau lebih. Kuesioner Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21, Indeks Massa Tubuh, dan riwayat siklus menstruasi tidak teratur digunakan untuk menggumpulkan data. Penelitian ini telah dinyatakan lulus kaji etik oleh Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan nomor 040/KEPFON-AMENDMENT/V/2025. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa mahasiswi umur 18–19 tahun (50,4%) mempunyai riwayat menarche umur 11–15 tahun (89,7%), tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit kronis (97,8%), pola makan tiga kali sehari (66,7%), dan memiliki IMT yang normal (73,3%). Prevalensi siklus menstruasi tidak teratur kategori ringan (88,1%) dan sedang (11,9%) pada mahasiswi perempuan umur 18-22 tahun. Ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara IMT dengan siklus menstruasi tidak teratur (0,035) dan tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara stres terhadap siklus menstruasi tidak teratur (0,101). Ketidakteraturan menstruasi pada mahasiswi perempuan masih perlu dilakukan kajian longitudinal baik IMT maupun stres./Characteristics of irregular menstruation are categorized by frequency, amount blood, duration of menstruation days, and accompanying abnormalities. Irregular menstruation disrupts the health of the reproductive system and lowers the quality of life of female student. This study aims to identify the relationship between Body Mass Index and stress with irregular menstrual cycles at one of the private university in Tangerang. The research method used quantitative correlational with a cross-sectional design. The population is female student in one of the private university in Tangerang, while the sample (N=135) includes criteria of age 18-22 years and having a history of irregular menstruation for three consecutive months or more. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 questionnaire, Body Mass Index, and history of irregular menstrual cycles were used to collect data. This study has passed ethical review by the Faculty of Nursing, Pelita Harapan University, with number 040/KEPFON-AMENDMENT/V/2025. The results of this study show that female student aged 18-19 years (50.4%) have a history of menarche at the age of 11-15 years (89,7%), do not have a history of chronic diseases (97,8%), eat three times a day (66,7%), and have normal BMI (73,3%). The prevalence of irregular menstrual cycles was categorized as mild (88.1%) and moderate (11.9%) in female student aged 18-22 years. There was a significant relationship between BMI and irregular menstrual cycle (0.035) and no significant relationship between stress and irregular menstrual cycle (0,101). Menstrual irregularities in adolescent girls still need longitudinal studies of both BMI and stress.
