Abstract

Saran untuk rumah sakit dapat secara rutin menyelenggarakan pelatihan dan pembaharuan ilmu pengetahuan mengenai patient safety dan memberikan kesempatan bagi perawat untuk memperluas pengalaman klinis melalui program rotasi unit / Self-assessment is an important thing that must be done by nurses regularly so that the implementation of patient safety continues to run well. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted from January to May 2025 to determine the description of nurses' self-assessment of the implementation of patient safety. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a sample size of 98 nurses calculated using the G-power program. The research instrument used the Patient Safety in Nursing Education Questionnaire (PaSNEQ), which includes three categories: knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Data analysis techniques were performed univariately to describe the frequency distribution and percentage in each category. The results showed that the self- assessment picture for the knowledge and skills category had a minimum value of 4 and a maximum value of 16, and for the attitude category had a minimum value of 6 and a maximum value of 24. These results indicate that there are still several nurses who rate themselves low, both in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This is because the development of knowledge and training regarding patient safety is still inadequate, as well as a lack of clinical experience, which also affects the ability of nurses to implement patient safety. Hospitals can routinely organize training and scientific updates on patient safety and provide opportunities for nurses to expand clinical experience through unit rotation programs.
