Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kompetensi spiritual perawat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual pasien, yang diakui sebagai aspek krusial dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan holistik dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien secara keseluruhan. Kompetensi ini mencakup pemahaman perawat terhadap dimensi spiritual dalam konteks kesehatan serta kemampuan mereka untuk mengidentifikasi dan memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual pasien, yang dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman spiritual diri, tingkat pengetahuan, dan sikap profesional. Penelitian dengan desain deskriptif kuantitatif ini menggunakan kuesioner baku Spiritual Care Competence Scale (SCCS) yang disebarkan secara dalam jaringan (daring). Sebanyak 202 alumni mahasiswa keperawatan (mayoritas perempuan dengan rentang usia 17-25 tahun dan masa kerja di bawah tiga tahun, dengan representasi terbanyak dari Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Sulawesi Selatan, Sumatera Selatan) berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat kompetensi spiritual yang tinggi (55,0%), diikuti oleh kategori kompetensi sedang (37,1%), dan sebagian kecil berada pada kategori kompetensi rendah (7,9%). Tingginya tingkat kompetensi spiritual ini diduga kuat dipengaruhi oleh bekal pendidikan formal dan berbagai pelatihan yang telah diterima oleh para perawat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar perawat memiliki kompetensi spiritual yang baik. / This study aimed to describe nurses' spiritual competence in meeting patients' spiritual needs, which is recognized as a crucial aspect in providing holistic nursing care and improving patients' overall quality of life. These competencies include nurses' understanding of the spiritual dimensions in the context of healthcare as well as their ability to identify and meet patients' spiritual needs, which is influenced by their spiritual self-understanding, level of knowledge, and professional attitude. This descriptive quantitative design study used a standardized Spiritual Care Competence Scale (SCCS) questionnaire that was administered online. A total of 202 alumni nursing students (majority female with an age range of 17-25 years and less than three years of service, with the most representation from the province of North Sumatra, South Sulawesi, South Sumatra)participated in this study. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a high level of spiritual competence (55.0%), followed by a medium competence category (37.1%), and a small proportion were in the low competence category (7.9%). The high level of spiritual competence is thought to be strongly influenced by the provision of formal education and various trainings that have been received by the nurses. This study concluded that most nurses have good spiritual competence.
