Abstract
/Mental disorders are conditions that interfere with a person's daily life in terms of
psychological, physical, and social aspects. In providing care for ODGJ, the family
faces various stressors both emotionally and physically. This can have an impact
on resilience in providing care. This study aims to determine the factors associated
with family resilience in caring for family members with mental disorders. This
research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample was 142
respondents, the sampling technique used accidental sampling. The instruments in
the study were demographic data questionnaire and Family Resilience assessment
scale (FRAS). Data were analyzed using univariate test and bivariate test with
Spearman-Rho test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship
between age, gender, occupation, education level, income, relationship with the
patient, length of suffering, and age of the patient with the level of family resilience
(p>0.05). These results emphasize how important it is to consider other factors such
as social support and coping strategies in strengthening family resilience.
Therefore, efforts need to improve psychosocial support for families through
educational programs and a comprehensive approach.
