Abstract

Rekomendasi: Pemberian ASI eksklusif dan penerapan pola makan sehat dan bergizi seimbang tepat diharapkan tetap dipertahankan untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak secara optimal./Introduction: Stunting is chronic malnutrition in children due to long-term malnutrition during pregnancy and after birth. The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is still high, at 31.8%(2020), especially in Banten Province and Tangerang Regency, especially Rajeg District. Objective: This study was conducted to find out whether there is a relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting of children aged 2-5 years in Tangerang Regency, Rajeg District. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive research method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is mothers who have children aged 2-5 years in Rajeg District. The sample in this study amounted to 97 respondents, which were taken by Purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used was the Chi-Square test. This research was conducted in February-April 2025 in the Rajeg Health Center Working Area. Results: This study showed that there was no association between exclusive breastfeeding history (p= 0.093; OR=0.225) and feeding patterns (p=0.846; OR=0.731) with the incidence of stunting of children aged 2-5 years. Conclusion: Research in Rajeg District showed that the exclusive breastfeeding history and diet of children aged 2–5 years varied widely, but neither showed a relationship with stunting incidence. Recommendation: Exclusive breastfeeding and the implementation of a healthy and nutritiously balanced diet are expected to be maintained to support optimal growth and development of children.
