Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan atau Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah membawa transformasi signifikan dalam industri musik, khususnya melalui kemampuan AI dalam menghasilkan lagu tanpa campur tangan manusia secara langsung. Fenomena ini memunculkan tantangan hukum baru terkait perlindungan hak cipta di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk perlindungan hukum terhadap lagu yang dihasilkan oleh AI, serta mengkaji dampak hukumnya apabila digunakan untuk tujuan komersial tanpa izin dari pemegang hak cipta asli. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa regulasi yang ada, khususnya Undang-Undang Nomor 28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta, belum secara spesifik mengatur karya yang dihasilkan oleh entitas non-manusia seperti AI. Ketiadaan regulasi yang jelas menyebabkan ketidakpastian hukum, terutama dalam hal kepemilikan hak cipta, lisensi, dan distribusi royalti. Selain itu, konsep fair use yang sering dijadikan dasar pembenaran penggunaan karya tanpa izin masih belum diimplementasikan secara tegas dalam sistem hukum Indonesia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pembaruan hukum hak cipta yang adaptif terhadap kemajuan teknologi untuk menjamin keadilan bagi pencipta asli serta menciptakan kepastian hukum dalam industri kreatif digital. / The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has brought about significant transformation in the music industry, especially through AI's ability to produce songs without direct human intervention. This phenomenon raises new legal challenges related to copyright protection in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for songs produced by AI, as well as to examine its legal impact if used for commercial purposes without permission from the original copyright holder. Using a normative and qualitative legal approach. This study found that existing regulations, especially Law No. 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright, do not specifically regulate works produced by non-human entities such as AI. The absence of clear regulations causes legal uncertainty, especially in terms of copyright ownership, licensing, and royalty distribution. In addition, the concept of fair use which is often used as a basis for justifying the use of works without permission has not been implemented firmly in the Indonesian legal system. This study recommends the need for an adaptive copyright law update to technological advances to ensure justice for original creators and create legal certainty in the digital creative industry.
