Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kolaborasi antara Somethinc,
Crayon Shinchan, dan Tahilalats terhadap citra merek Somethinc di pasar
Indonesia. Kolaborasi ini menggabungkan elemen budaya populer internasional
dan lokal yang diharapkan dapat memperkuat citra merek sekaligus memperluas
jangkauan pasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei kuantitatif
dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner daring kepada konsumen Somethinc
yang telah mengenal produk kolaborasi tersebut pada periode 2022 hingga 2024.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi tersebut memberikan pengaruh
positif dan signifikan terhadap citra merek Somethinc, dengan adanya peningkatan
persepsi konsumen terhadap atribut, manfaat, dan sikap positif terhadap merek.
Kolaborasi ini juga dianggap mampu menciptakan nilai tambah yang otentik dan
relevan, sehingga meningkatkan loyalitas dan daya tarik emosional konsumen
terhadap produk. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pemanfaatan elemen
budaya populer secara kreatif dapat menjadi strategi pemasaran yang efektif dalam
menghadapi persaingan pasar yang semakin ketat dan perilaku konsumen yang
dinamis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi literatur komunikasi
pemasaran khususnya pada strategi kolaborasi merek lintas budaya. Secara praktis,
hasil penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pelaku industri kecantikan untuk
terus mengembangkan kolaborasi yang relevan dan inovatif dengan merek atau
karakter populer yang memiliki basis penggemar kuat, agar mampu meningkatkan
eksposur, citra, serta loyalitas merek di pasar yang kompetitif. Penelitian ini juga
menyarankan pengembangan penelitian dengan metode kualitatif dan studi jangka
panjang untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang dampak
kolaborasi merek.

This study aims to analyze the influence of collaboration between Somethinc, Crayon Shinchan, and Tahilalats on the brand image of Somethinc in the Indonesian market. This collaboration combines elements of international and local popular culture, expected to strengthen brand image while expanding market reach. The research employs a quantitative survey method with data collected via online questionnaires distributed to Somethinc consumers familiar with the collaboration products between 2022 and 2024. The results indicate that the collaboration positively and significantly impacts Somethinc’s brand image by enhancing consumer perceptions of brand attributes, benefits, and positive attitudes. The collaboration is also considered to create authentic and relevant added value, increasing consumer loyalty and emotional attachment to the products. Furthermore, the study finds that creatively utilizing popular culture elements can serve as an effective marketing strategy in responding to intense market competition and dynamic consumer behavior. These findings contribute significantly to marketing communication literature, particularly on cross- cultural brand collaboration strategies. Practically, the study recommends beauty industry players to continue developing relevant and innovative collaborations with popular brands or characters that have a strong fan base to boost exposure, brand image, and loyalty in competitive markets. The study also suggests future research employing qualitative methods and long-term studies to gain deeper insights into the impact of brand collaboration.
