Abstract

Along with the development of today's technology, the use of the Internet is becoming more numerous and widespread. One use of the Internet today is as a marketing medium that allows someone to do the process of buying and selling quickly, realtime, and can be done anywhere. Features of online transactions can be advantageous to the seller or buyer if the market can be seen profitable. Therefore, it is important to know the market of buying or selling online for use. However, despite the existence of features that have been granted, people are still reluctant to shop online due to the fragility of fraud. Fraud occurs usually at the stage of payments. Through this research, analysis will be conducted towards the user of online buy-sell transactions in Indonesia with a purpose to know the online marketplace and the payment method. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to people who have used the online buy-sell transactions in public places such as universities, shopping centers, and restaurants. The data collected are then sorted and recapitulated to analyze the usage of buying and selling online, as well as Spearman correlation test performed on existing indicators. The results obtained indicate that the market transactions online by age, sex, educational level, employment, spending per month and other things like websites and payment method. The commonly used online payment methods are direct transfer, cash on delivery, and rekening bersama along with analysis of the factors that support its usage. Furthermore, analysis of fraud that often exist in each payment method used in Indonesia is conducted. To conclude, there is a inverse proportion between transaction age and the usage of online transaction.
