Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas perancangan sistem Point of Sales (POS) berbasis web pada Toko Vitara Audio, yang bergerak di bidang reparasi dan modifikasi mobil. Sistem lama yang digunakan memiliki berbagai permasalahan, seperti bug pada proses pemotongan stok yang menyebabkan ketidakakuratan data, bahkan hingga stok dapat bernilai minus. Selain itu, belum tersedia fitur retur pembelian dan penjualan, sehingga proses tersebut masih dilakukan secara manual dan rawan kesalahan. Tujuan dari pengembangan sistem ini adalah untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi dalam pencatatan transaksi dan retur, mempercepat proses input dan pencarian data, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih tepat dan berbasis data. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Waterfall. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan TypeScript dengan framework Next.js, Prisma sebagai Object-Relational Mapping (ORM), dan basis data PostgreSQL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem POS yang dibangun mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan akurasi pencatatan transaksi melalui validasi data yang ketat dan kontrol stok yang lebih terstruktur. Fitur-fitur tambahan juga terbukti membantu mempercepat pekerjaan pengguna dalam penginputan dan pengelolaan data harian. / This study discusses the design of a web-based Point of Sales (POS) system for Vitara Audio, a company engaged in car repair and modification services. The previous system had several issues, such as bugs in the stock deduction process that resulted in inaccurate data and even negative stock values. Additionally, the system lacked purchase and sales return features, which forced these processes to be handled manually and were prone to errors. The aim of this system development is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of transaction and return records, speed up data input and retrieval processes, and support more accurate, data-driven decision-making. The development method used is the Waterfall model. The system was built using TypeScript with the Next.js framework, Prisma as the Object-Relational Mapping (ORM), and PostgreSQL as the database. The results show that the developed POS system enhances operational efficiency and transaction accuracy through strict data validation and more structured stock control. The added features also proved to significantly assist users in daily data input and management.
