Abstract

Aktivitas imunomodulator ekstrak Morinda citrifolia L. dan formulasi sprinkle dievaluasi pada mencit jantan BALB/c melalui uji fagositosis dan pengukuran indeks organ. Mencit dibagi ke dalam empat kelompok: kontrol negatif (CMC Na 0,5%), kontrol positif (Stimuno 50 mg/kgBB), ekstrak buah mengkudu (100 mg/kgBB), dan sprinkle (100 mg/kgBB). Aktivitas fagositosis dinilai menggunakan metode pembersihan karbon, sedangkan indeks organ dihitung untuk hati, limpa, dan timus. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelompok ekstrak memiliki indeks fagositosis tertinggi (k = 1,3), diikuti oleh sprinkle (k = 1,2), Stimuno (k = 1,1), dan kontrol negatif (k = 1,0). Indeks limpa tertinggi ditemukan pada kelompok sprinkle (0,0124 ± 0,0023), sedangkan indeks timus tertinggi pada kelompok ekstrak (0,0021 ± 0,0009). Meskipun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik (p > 0,05), baik ekstrak maupun sprinkle menunjukkan potensi imunostimulan yang sebanding dengan Stimuno. Temuan ini mendukung pengembangan keduanya sebagai kandidat fitofarmaka imunostimulan alami./The immunomodulatory activity of Morinda citrifolia L. extract and its sprinkle formulation was evaluated in male BALB/c mice through phagocytosis tests and organ index measurements. Mice were divided into four groups: negative control (0.5% CMC Na), positive control (Stimuno 50 mg/kg BW), noni fruit extract (100 mg/kg BW), and sprinkle (100 mg/kg BW). Phagocytic activity was assessed using the carbon clearance method, while organ indices were calculated for the liver, spleen, and thymus. Results showed that the extract group had the highest phagocytic index (k = 1.3), followed by sprinkle (k = 1.2), Stimuno (k = 1.1), and the negative control (k = 1.0). The highest spleen index was found in the sprinkle group (0.0124 ± 0.0023), while the highest thymus index was observed in the extract group (0.0021 ± 0.0009). Although no statistically significant differences were found (p > 0.05), both extract and sprinkle showed immunostimulant potential comparable to Stimuno. These findings support their development as natural immunostimulant phytopharmaceutical candidates.
