Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong pelaku UKM untuk memanfaatkan iklan digital dalam meningkatkan konversi penjualan. Namun, efektivitas masing- masing platform iklan seperti Shopee Ads dan TopAds Tokopedia masih menjadi pertanyaan bagi banyak pelaku bisnis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas kedua platform menggunakan metode A/B Testing. Analisis dilakukan terhadap data iklan selama 31 hari dengan fokus pada metrik utama: Cost Per Click (CPC), Conversion Rate (CR), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), dan Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). Uji Z digunakan untuk mengetahui signifikansi perbedaan performa antar platform, dibantu pengolahan data menggunakan Python melalui platform Google Colaboratory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Shopee Ads memiliki performa yang secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan TopAds pada seluruh metrik yang diuji, dengan probabilitas pada hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa p < 0,05, yaitu adanya perbedaan pada Shopee Ads dan TopAds dan terjadi secara signifikan bukan hanya kebetulan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam konteks studi kasus ini, Shopee Ads lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan konversi dibandingkan TopAds.

The advancement of digital technology has encouraged SMEs to utilize digital advertising to increase sales conversions. However, the effectiveness of advertising platforms such as Shopee Ads and Tokopedia’s TopAds remains a question for many business owners. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the two platforms using the A/B Testing method. The analysis was conducted on advertising data over a 31-day period, focusing on key metrics: Cost Per Click (CPC), Conversion Rate (CR), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). A Z-test was employed to determine the statistical significance of performance differences between the platforms, supported by data processing using Python on the Google Colaboratory platform. The results show that Shopee Ads performed significantly better than TopAds across all tested metrics, with a p-value < 0.05, indicating that the observed differences are statistically significant and not due to chance. Therefore, it can be concluded that, within the context of this case study, Shopee Ads is more effective in increasing conversions compared to TopAds.
