Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang kini kian pesat telah membawa perubahan signifikan bagi bidang pendidikan. Selarasnya dengan perkembangan teknologi, bidang pendidikan terutama dalam kalangan mahasiswa telah mengadopsi teknologi kecerdasan buatan dalam menghadapi berbagai kendala akademis. Namun, banyak mahasiswa yang masih ragu dan tidak memiliki keinginan dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk menunjang pendidikan mereka. Penggunaan teknologi kecerdasan buatan ini juga tidak serta-merta memberikan efek yang positif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi niat mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Perplexity.ai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode UTAUT3 untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang ada. Data yang telah dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner ada sebanyak 415 dan akan diolah menggunakan bantuan SMARTPLS 4.0. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan nilai R-square pada variabel Behavioral Intention sebesar 67,2% variasi dan sebesar 55,2% variasi pada variabel Use Behavior yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa keduanya berkategori moderat artinya terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan dari variabel independen terhadap perubahan dalam variabel dependen. Seluruh hipotesis sebanyak sebelas hipotesis dapat diterima. Variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Behavioral Intention yaitu Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, dan Personal Innovativeness. Sementara itu, Facilitating Conditions, Habit, dan Personal Innovativeness berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Use Behavior pada penggunaan Perplexity.ai untuk penulisan karya ilmiah./The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted the education sector. In line with technological developments, the field of education, particularly among students, has embraced artificial intelligence (AI) to address various academic challenges. However, many students remain hesitant and lack the intention to utilize technology to support their education. The use of AI technology does not automatically yield positive effects. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the factors influencing students' intentions to use Perplexity.ai. This research employs the UTAUT3 method to analyze the existing issues. Data collected through a questionnaire from 415 respondents will be processed using SMARTPLS 4.0. The results of the study indicate that the R-square value for the Behavioral Intention variable is 67.2%, reflecting a moderate level of variance, while the R-square value for the Use Behavior variable is 55.2%, also indicating a moderate level of variance. These results suggest that there is a significant contribution from the independent variables to the changes in the dependent variables. All eleven hypotheses are supported. The variables that significantly influence Behavioral Intention include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditionss, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, and Personal Innovativeness. Meanwhile, Facilitating Conditionss, Habit, and Personal Innovativeness significantly affect Use Behavior in the use of Perplexity.ai for academic writing.
