Abstract

Pembentukan karakter merupakan salah satu upaya besar yang dilakukan untuk membentuk generasi yang beradap. Dalam proses pendidikan, upaya peningkatan pembentukan karakter terus dilakukan. Meski pada kenyataannya, masih terdapat berbagai masalah karakter dalam kehidupan siswa. Masalah karakter yang dimaksudkan diantaranya adalah kasus perundungan, munculnya berbagai tindakan kriminal antar siswa, rendahnya rasa hormat dan empati terhadap guru serta orang tua, juga masalah kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Sebuah institusi pendidikan yang ada di Surabaya belum pernah mengalami masalah karakter yang disebutkan di atas. Siswa di SD XYZ Surabaya cenderung memiliki karakter sesuai dengan standar yang diharapkan. Hal ini didasarkan pada tujuan serta nilai yang ditanamkan SD XYZ Surabaya untuk membentuk karakter siswa, berkomitmen untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berkarakter dan mengenal tujuan hidupnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali strategi kepemimpinan guru yang berlandaskan pada perspektif pendidikan Kristen dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SD XYZ Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan guru yang berlandaskan perspektif pendidikan Kristen dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SD XYZ Surabaya adalah pengenalan guru terhadap siswa, mendoakan siswa, keteladanan, kerjasama dengan guru lain, kerjasama dengan orang tua, dan melaksanakan enam proses belajar yang dipromosikan oleh SD XYZ Surabaya. / Character building is one of the major efforts made to form a civilized generation. In the education process, efforts to improve character building continue. However, in reality, there are still various character problems in students' lives. Character problems include cases of bullying, the emergence of various criminal acts between students, low respect and empathy for teachers and parents, as well as problems of discipline and responsibility. An educational institution in Surabaya has never experienced the character problems mentioned above. Students at XYZ elementary school in Surabaya tend to have characters in accordance with the expected standards. This is based on the goals and values instilled by XYZ elementary school Surabaya to shape student character, committed to producing graduates with character and knowing their life purpose. This study was conducted to explore teacher leadership strategies based on the perspective of Christian education in shaping student character at XYZ elementary school Surabaya. This study used a qualitative research approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and document studies. Data analysis was conducted through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the teacher leadership strategies based on the perspective of Christian education in shaping student character at XYZ elementary school Surabaya are teacher introduction to students, praying for students, exemplary, cooperation with other teachers, cooperation with parents, and implementing the six learning processes promoted by XYZ elementary school Surabaya.
