Abstract

Komunikasi interpersonal dipandang sebagai faktor penting yang dapat menciptakan hubungan kerja yang harmonis dan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kepuasan kerja pramugara dan pramugari di PT Batik Air Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan metode survei. Sampel terdiri dari 127 pramugara dan pramugari aktif PT Batik Air Indonesia yang dipilih melalui teknik nonprobability convenience sampling. Pengukuran komunikasi interpersonal mengacu pada enam indikator dari DeVito (2016), sedangkan kepuasan kerja mengacu pada enam indikator dari Luthans (2011). Hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa seluruh instrumen penelitian valid dan reliabel (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,938). Uji korelasi Spearman’s Rho menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal dan kepuasan kerja (r = 0,514; p < 0,01). Uji Kruskal-Wallis juga mengungkap adanya perbedaan signifikan dalam kepuasan kerja berdasarkan karakteristik demografis responden seperti jenis kelamin dan tingkat pendidikan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa semakin baik komunikasi interpersonal antara kru kabin dan atasan, maka semakin tinggi tingkat kepuasan kerja mereka. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi manajemen PT Batik Air Indonesia dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih suportif dan komunikatif. / Interpersonal communication is considered a key factor in fostering harmonious workplace relationships and improving job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effect of interpersonal communication on job satisfaction among flight attendants at PT Batik Air Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 127 active flight attendants at PT Batik Air Indonesia selected through non- probability convenience sampling. Interpersonal communication was measured using six indicators from DeVito (2016), while job satisfaction was assessed using six indicators from Luthans (2011). Validity and reliability tests confirmed all instruments were valid and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.938). The Spearman’s Rho test showed a positive and significant correlation between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction (r = 0.514; p < 0.01). The Kruskal-Wallis test also revealed significant differences in job satisfaction based on demographic characteristics such as gender and education level. These findings confirm that improved interpersonal communication among cabin crew and with supervisors is associated with higher job satisfaction. The results are expected to provide practical insights for PT Batik Air Indonesia’s management in creating a more supportive and communicative work environment.
