Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh servant leadership dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah XYZ Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis jalur, dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 70 guru dari jenjang TK hingga SMK. Instrumen penelitian diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya menggunakan SmartPLS 4. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja guru serta kinerja guru. Motivasi kerja guru juga terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru. Namun, motivasi kerja tidak memediasi hubungan antara servant leadership dan kinerja guru secara signifikan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran guru sebagai pemimpin pelayan yang tidak hanya mengajar tetapi juga membangun komunitas, memberikan keteladanan, dan mendukung pengembangan profesional sesama rekan kerja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mendorong pihak sekolah untuk memperkuat kebijakan berbasis nilai servant leadership dan merancang program pelatihan serta supervisi akademik yang transformatif guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui peningkatan kinerja guru. / This study aims to examine the influence of servant leadership and work motivation on teacher performance at XYZ School in Palembang. A quantitative approach using path analysis was employed, with data collected from 70 teachers across kindergarten to vocational high school levels using a validated questionnaire. SmartPLS 4 was used to analyze the data. The results revealed that servant leadership positively affects both teacher motivation and teacher performance. Work motivation also positively influences teacher performance. However, work motivation does not significantly mediate the relationship between servant leadership and teacher performance. These findings highlight the importance of teachers as servant leaders who not only teach but also build community, model exemplary behavior, and support colleagues’ professional development. The study suggests that schools should strengthen policies rooted in servant leadership values and design transformative academic supervision and training programs to improve education quality through enhanced teacher performance.
