Abstract

An individual's leadership style can inspire and motivate members of an organization to grow, innovate, and achieve shared goals. In schools, leadership style is closely linked to organizational culture, which significantly impacts performance and the learning environment. This study explores the role of transformational leadership in shaping organizational culture and enhancing pedagogical competence at XYZ Junior High School. Using a case study approach, the research examines the experiences and perceptions of the principal, vice principal, pedagogical leaders, and teachers. Data were gathered through semi structured interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that transformational leadership supports the development of a strong organizational culture by fostering motivation, promoting a shared vision, and cultivating an inclusive learning community. However, implementation presents challenges, particularly in the four dimensions of transformational leadership: Idealized Influence, Intellectual Stimulation, Individualized Consideration, and Inspirational Motivation. Organizational culture-related challenges include communication across hierarchical levels, aligning leadership practices, and addressing diverse needs and aspirations. Organizational culture plays a vital role in preparing teachers for change, encouraging collaboration, building a positive work environment, and supporting continuous professional development. This study emphasizes the need to integrate transformational leadership with a responsive organizational culture to effectively navigate curriculum changes and strengthen pedagogical skills. / Gaya kepemimpinan seseorang dapat menginspirasi dan memotivasi seluruh anggota organisasi untuk terus berkembang, berinovasi, dan mencapai tujuan bersama yang lebih tinggi. Gaya kepemimpinan juga berkaitan erat dengan budaya organisasi yang berpengaruh besar terhadap kinerja dan suasana belajar di sekolah. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepemimpinan transformasional dalam strategi pengembangan budaya organisasi dan kompetensi pedagogik di SMP XYZ. Pendekatan studi kasus digunakan untuk mendalami pengalaman dan persepsi dari semua pihak yang ada di organisasi, termasuk kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, pemimpin pedagogik dan guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan analisis dokumen.Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam membangun budaya organisasi melalui motivasi, visi bersama, dan pembentukan komunitas belajar yang inklusif. Studi ini juga mengungkap tantangan dalam penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional, terutama pada empat aspek: Idealized Influence, Intellectual Stimulation, Individualized Consideration, dan Inspirational Motivation. Tantangan budaya organisasi meliputi komunikasi antarlevel hierarki, implementasi kepemimpinan yang efektif, serta keselarasan kebutuhan dan aspirasi. Budaya organisasi berperan penting dalam mempersiapkan guru menghadapi perubahan, memfasilitasi kolaborasi, membentuk budaya kerja yang efektif, dan mendukung pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi antara kepemimpinan transformasional dan budaya organisasi yang adaptif dalam menghadapi perubahan kurikulum serta peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru di SMP XYZ.
