Abstract
Paparan sinar matahari dan polusi udara merupakan penyebab dari radikal bebas yang dapat menyebabkan masalah kulit seperti penuaan dini, hiperpigmentasi, hingga kanker kulit. Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang dapat menangkal atau menghambat kerusakan sel akibat radikal bebas. Tanaman alpukat merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki khasiat sebagai antioksidan yang bersumber dari bagian daun alpukat. Daun alpukat diketahui memiliki kandungan senyawa metabolit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan sediaan sheet mask sebagai antioksidan dari ekstrak daun alpukat. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pembuatan ekstrak dengan metode maserasi menggunakan ekstrak etanol 96%, skrining fitokimia, uji aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak daun alpukat dengan metode DPPH, pembuatan sediaan, uji mutu fisik dan stabilitas essence sheet mask, dan uji antioksidan sediaan essence sheet mask. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linear pada excel untuk menentukan nilai IC50. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata nilai IC50 49,52 μg/mL yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat. Pada konsnetrasi 0,25% menghasilkan rata-rata IC50 81,71 μg/ml, konsentrasi 0,5% menghasilkan rata-rata IC50 73,96 μg/ml, dan konsentrasi 0,75% menghasilkan rata-rata IC50 69,08 μg/ml. Sediaan essence yang dianggap terbaik yaitu konsentrasi 0,25%. Seluruh formulasi essence telah memenuhi syarat uji mutu fisik sediaan. Sediaan essence menunjukkan hasil yang tetap stabil setelah dilakukan uji stabilitas/Exposure to sunlight and air pollution are primary sources of free radicals, which can lead to various skin problems such as premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and even skin cancer. Antioxidants are compounds capable of neutralizing or inhibiting cellular damage caused by free radicals. The avocado plant (Persea americana) is known to possess antioxidant properties, particularly from its leaves, which contain various secondary metabolites.The objective of this study was to develop a sheet mask formulation with antioxidant activity derived from avocado leaf extract. The methodology involved the extraction of avocado leaves through maceration using 96% ethanol, phytochemical screening, evaluation of antioxidant activity using the DPPH method, formulation of the sheet mask, physicochemical quality and stability testing of the essence, and antioxidant activity testing of the essence sheet mask formulation. Data analysis was performed using linear regression in Microsoft Excel to determine the IC50 values. The antioxidant activity of the extract was indicated by an average IC50 value of 49.52 μg/mL, which falls into the "very strong" category. At a concentration of 0.25%, the formulation produced an average IC50 of 81.71 μg/mL; at 0.5%, 73.96 μg/mL; and at 0.75%, 69.08 μg/mL. Among these, the 0.25% concentration was considered the optimal formulation. All essence formulations met the required standards for physical quality tests. Furthermore, the essence remained stable after undergoing stability testing
