The purpose of this thesis is to build a web-based Point of Sale application which can help user to make integrated records of sales transaction. The sales transaction is very easy to access using internet browser and multiplatform either connected via local area network or via internet. Today transferring data using diskette are not effective, efficient, and low-capacity. Web-based Point Of Sale application that was developed includes the interface and the database. The application provides user with a number of features in order to support and maintain PT. Citrasoft Infotama Kreasindo activities easier. The features among other things are input, add, delete, update transaction, provide user with username and password for login into the web based Point of Sale application system to be able to access the whole web site . This application is built using PHP web programming language, Dreamweaver MX 2004 as an editor, PHPMyAdmin as database GUI engine, and Apache web server. PHP, PHPMyadmin, and apache web server have integrated in XAMMP open source software.
