Abstract
In the rapidly advancing digital era, efficient data management has become
a significant challenge, especially for large-scale stores or markets such as Alfamart
and Indomaret. The main challenge lies in managing transaction data in real-time,
ensuring high data availability, and reducing latency in data retrieval and processing
across various branches. Another issue is the need to integrate systems that can
connect multiple locations without introducing excessive complexity.
This research proposes a solution in the form of a distributed database
system using the system leverages RabbitMQ as a message broker for real-time data
synchronization between branches, and PostgreSQL as the primary database for
data storage. This approach is expected to reduce system load, enhance transaction
performance at each branch, and support scalability as the store network expands.
The implementation results demonstrate that the system successfully
addresses distributed data management issues with low latency and high data
availability. Testing showed that the system can handle large transaction volumes
with quick response times. The system also proved stable when tested under various
load scenarios, providing an efficient and reliable solution for large retail networks.
