Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat dibutuhkan bagi masyarakat hingga saat ini. Dengan melihat bahwa kebutuhan energi listrik sangat diperlukan pada proyek Bendungan Serbaguna Karian yang merupakan salah satu proyek strategis nasional melakukan pengembangan dengan memanfaatkan air sebagai penghasil energi listrik atau yang biasa disebut dengan pembangkit listrik tenaga air. Dilakukan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penggunaan sistem Hydropower atau pembangkit listrik tenaga air dalam menyediakan daya energi listrik untuk proyek Bendungan Serbaguna Karian. Untuk dapat menghasilkan daya energi listrik di Bendungan Serbaguna Karian akan memanfaatkan aliran air dan tinggi jatuh yang dimana pada proyek bendungan akan dapat menaikan ketinggian elevasi air karena terdapat tampungan pada bendungan. Dengan memanfaatkan tinggi head yang tersedia pada proyek Bendungan Serbaguna Karian dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai power supply untuk proyek tersebut. Adapun pada penelitian ini akan mencoba menganalisa sistem Hydropower pada proyek Bendungan Serbaguna Karian, dan akan melakukan review terhadap perhitungan ketinggian head. Penelitian akan dimulai dengan merencanakan suatu sistem Hydropower dengan melakukan analisis terhadap ketinggi head yang dapat tersedia untuk sistem Hydropower, kemudian akan membuat kurva durasi aliran untuk dapat mengetahui batasan debit aliran air yang dapat beroperasi secara maksimal untuk sistem Hydropower dan menghitung kehilangan yang dapat terjadi pada pipa penstock dan terakhir menghitung kapasitas energi listrik yang dapat dihasilkan. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembangunan sistem Hydropower pada Bendungan Serbaguna Karian dapat dimanfaatkan karena hasil perhitungan menggunakan rumus Darcy Weishbach, head loss yang dihasilkan dapat menghasilkan daya energi listrik yang melebih target. / Electrical energy that is needed by the community till now. By seeing that the need for electrical energy is very necessary in the Karian Multipurpose Dam Project which is one of the national strategic projects to develop by utilizing water as a producer of electrical energy or commonly referred to as Hydroelectric Power plants. This research was conducted to analyze the use of Hydropower systems or Hydroelectric Power plants in providing electrical energy for the Karian Multipurpose Dam Project. To be able to produce electrical energy in the Karian Multipurpose Dam Project will utilize water flow and fall height which in the dam project will be able to increase the elevation of water because there are storage on the dam. By utilizing the head height available at the Karian Multipurpose Dam Project, it can be utilized as a power supply for the project. This research will try to analyze the Hydropower system in the Karian Multipurpose Dam project, and will conduct a review of head height calculations. The research will begin by planning a Hydropower system by analyzing the head heights that can be available for a Hydropower system, then making a flow duration curve to be able to know the flow rate limits that can operate optimally for the Hydropower system and calculate the losses that can occur in the pipe penstock and finally calculate the capacity of electrical energy that can be produced. Therefore, it can be concluded that the construction of a Hydropower system at the Karian Multipurpose Dam can be used because the results of calculations using the Darcy Weishbach, resulting head loss can generate electrical energy that exceeds the target.
