Abstract
Di Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Pelita Harapan, ada sebuah program PkM yang bernama Kaizen Recycling Class Project: pengumpulan tabungan sampah yang seperti namanya bertugas untuk mengumpulkan sampah agar dapat diolah kembali oleh mitra lainnya. Salah satu sampah yang dikumpulkan dalam program ini adalah botol PET dimana botol tersebut dikumpulkan dan dipilah terlebih dahulu oleh mahasiswa sebelum dikumpulkan ke bank sampah. Namun proses pemilahan dari botol PET tidak mudah karena diperlukan waktu dan tenaga untuk meremukkan sejumlah botol secara manual, oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempercepat dan memudahkan proses pemilahan botol dengan membuat mesin peremuk botol PET. Perancangan mesin dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode QFD. Hasil dari QFD yaitu House of Quality (HOQ) dan Parts Deployment Matrix digunakan sebagai dasar pembuatan konsep. Pembuatan dan pemilihan konsep dibantu dengan menggunakan Morphological Chart. Konsep alternatif yang terpilih lalu diproduksi dan diuji terlebih dahulu. Dari hasil pengujian, diperbaiki berbagai kekurangan yang masih ada sebelum mesin tersebut dianalisis. Dari hasil analisis alat bantu, didapatkan bahwa dengan menggunakan alat bantu, ada pengurangan waktu peremukkan sebesar 36,5%, pengurangan waktu pelepasan label sebanyak 40,77% dan pengurangan volume botol sebanyak 22,27%./ A CSR Program called Kaizen Recycling Class Project, run by Industrial Engineering Major of Universitas Pelita Harapan encourage students to collect waste, may it be e-waste, used papers, shampoo bottles, etc. PET Bottle is part of waste collected by the program, which had to be classified before being handed over to waste collector. Classification method currently used include bottle crushing and label removing, both done by manual labor, which costs a significant amount of time and force. This research aims to simplify classification process by making a bottle pressing machine. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method was used to aid design process. Outputs of QFD, which include House of Quality Diagram (HOQ) and Parts Deployment Matrix are then used as a foundation for machine concepts development which is done by morphological charts. Options developed by morphological charts are then evaluated and concept scoring the highest will be produced. Machine produced will be tested and corrections will be done in order to keep machine working as demanded. Further analysis will be done, and it is obtained that by using machine produced, there is a reduction in time on crushing process as much as 36.5%, a reduction in time on label removal as much as 40.77% and reduction in bottle volume as much as 22.27%.
