Abstract

Penggunaan gas dalam kehidupan sehari – hari sangatlah penting, terutama dalam kehidupan rumah tangga sudah menjadi kebutuhan utama. Namun di samping itu tentunya terdapat risiko yang tidak asing bagi masyarakat yaitu kebocoran gas, bahkan bisa sangat berakibat fatal hingga terjadi kebakaran. Maka dari itu dibutuhkanlah sebuah sistem untuk menanggulangi kebocoran gas dan mencegah terjadinya kebakaran. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan sistem penanggulangan kebocoran gas yang menggunakan satu buah sensor untuk mendeteksi gas, satu buah solenoid valve untuk menutup jalur gas, satu buah LCD untuk memantau konsentrasi gas, satu buah kipas untuk membuang gas yang bocor, satu buah buzzer sebagai alarm sebagai peringatan bahwa terjadi kebocoran, satu buah push button switch untuk membuka jalur gas, dan platform Cayenne untuk mengirim notifikasi berupa email bahwa terjadi kebocoran. Perangkat – perangkat tersebut dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler Arduino Mega. Dari hasil perancangan dan pengujian sistem ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem monitoring dan penanggulangan kebocoran gas berbasis Arduino berjalan dengan baik dan berfungsi sesuai yang diharapkan. Tingkat keberhasilan pengujian sensor gas, solenoid valve, buzzer, push button switch, dan kipas adalah sebesar 100%. Selain itu tingkat keberhasilan pengujian pengiriman email adalah sebesar 80%. / The use of gas in daily life is very important, especially in household life has become a major need. Besides, there are of course familiar risks to the community, namely gas leakage, and can even be fatal until a fire breaks out. Therefore a system is needed to overcome the gas leak and prevent fires. In this final project design of a gas leak prevention system that uses one sensor to detect gas, one solenoid valve to close the gas path, one LCD to monitor gas concentration, one fan to dispose of leaking gas, one buzzer as an alarm as a warning that there is a leak, one push-button switch to open the gas path, and the Cayenne platform to send notifications in the form of an email that there is a leak. These devices are controlled by the Arduino Mega microcontroller. From the results of the design and testing of this system, it can be concluded that the Arduino-based gas leak monitoring and control system is running well and functioning as expected. The success rate of testing gas sensors, solenoid valves, buzzers, push-button switches, and fans is 100%. Also, the success rate of testing email delivery is 80%.
