Abstract

Komunikasi yang berkembang seiring kemajuan teknologi turut mempengaruhi ritme kerja industri media. Pergeseran penggunaan media pun terasa dari jurnalistik cetak hingga jurnalistik yang mengalami konvergensi media dengan berkembangnya teknologi komputer dan komunikasi. Para jurnalis saat ini ditantang untuk menyaring informasi yang berasal dari media daring sebagai sumber informasi. Mereka juga ditantang untuk menyajikan informasi dengan elemen esensial jurnalistik secara cepat, menarik, dan interaktif. Kasus perundungan Audrey yang dimulai dari unggahan warganet yang kemudian mendunia pun menjadi tantangan para jurnalis Indonesia dalam pemberitaannya. Tantangan tersebut tidak hanya berasal dari sumber yang dipertanyakan kredibilitasnya, namun berasal dari subjek pemberitaan yang masih berstatus anak di bawah usia 17 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian analisis framing Robert E. Entman. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data primer berupa studi dokumentasi dari portal berita Tribunnews.com dan Suara.com serta data sekunder berupa studi kepustakaan. Uji keabsahan data penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi wawancara tokoh masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tribunnews.com dengan bingkai kekerasannya, memandang para pelaku yang masih berstatus anak dibenarkan mendapatkan hukuman keras secara sosial dan pidana. Sementara itu, Suara.com dengan bingkai anti kekerasannya, memandang para pelaku yang masih berstatus anak dapat diberikan hukuman efek jera, namun mempertimbangkan masa depan mereka./Communication that develops along with technological progress also affects the performance of the media industry. The shift in the use of media was felt from print journalism to journalism which experienced media convergence with the development of computer and communication technology. Journalists are currently challenged to filter information from online media as a source of information. They are also challenged to present information with essential elements of journalism in a fast, interesting and interactive way. The case of Audrey's bullying which began from netizens posts who later became a challenge for Indonesian journalists in its reporting. The challenge did not only come from sources whose credibility was questioned, but also came from news subjects who were still children. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Robert E. Entman framing analysis research method. Research data collection was carried out with primary data in the form of study documentation from the news portal Tribunnews.com and Suara.com and secondary data in the form of library studies. The validity test of this research data uses interview with community leaders. The results showed that Tribunnews.com with a frame of violence, looked at the perpetrators who were children justified to get harsh punishment socially and criminally. Meanwhile, Suara.com with its anti-violence framework, views offenders with child status as punishment for deterrent effects, but considers their future.
