Abstract

"Keunggulan dari berita online adalah distribusi berita dan informasi yang berjalan dengan cepat, menghilangkan batasan waktu, ruang dan media online merupakan pengkombinasian simbol tekstual pada media lama, seperti teks, gambar, audio, dan video menjadi satu. Di dalam simbol tekstual tersebut, media mempertukarkan makna seperti yang disampaikan oleh Stuart Hall dalam teori representasinya. Makna yang disampaikan oleh media kemudian dibingkai sedemikian rupa agar pembaca dapat menangkap makna yang telah dikonstruksikan, dalam teori framing Goffman menyebutkan bahwa media menggunakan framing untuk merubah prilaku dan untuk menggiring opini pembaca agar memiliki persepsi yang sama dengan media. Beranjak dari kejadian pengepungan asrama yang dialami oleh mahasiswa Papua, di Surabaya. Maka dalam penelitian ini, melihat bagaimana media online SuaraPapua yang merupakan media lokal Papua dan AntarPapua yang merupakan media instansi pemerintah dalam mengkonstruksi konflik pasca insiden asrama mahasiswa Papua, dengan periode pemberitaan 16 agustus – 16 september 2019. Dengan menggunakan metode Analisa framing Pan dan Kosicki, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, SuaraPapua mengkonstruksikan berita dengan menggunakan konsep sosiologikal, dan Antarapapua mengkonstruksikan berita dengan menggunakan konsep psikologikal". / "The advantage of online news is the distribution of news and information that runs quickly, eliminating the limitations of time, space and online media is a combination of textual symbols on old media, such as text, images, audio, and video into one. In the textual symbol, the media exchanges meanings as conveyed by Stuart Hall in his representation theory. The meaning conveyed by the media is then framed in such a way that the reader can grasp the meaning that has been constructed, in framing theory Goffman states that the media uses framing to change behavior and to lead readers' opinions to have the same perception as the media. Moving on from the siege of boarding houses experienced by Papuan students, in Surabaya. So in this study, look at how SuaraPapua online media which is a local Papuan media and AntarPapua which is a government agency media in constructing conflict after the Papua student hostel incident, with the reporting period 16 August - 16 September 2019. Using the Pan and Kosicki framing analysis method, this research is a descriptive qualitative research. The results show that SuaraPapua constructs news using sociological concepts, and Antarapapua constructs news using psychological concepts".
