Abstract

Teknologi jaringan LAN saat ini masih digunakan di beberapa perusahaan dan instansi pemerintahan, salah satunya pada instansi pemerintahan MPR RI. Kemajuan teknologi saat ini berkembang dengan sangat pesat, salah satunya tentang perkembangan jaringan komputer yaitu Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). Pada kegiatan magang ini dilakukan perluasan WLAN di kantor MPR RI dengan mengkonfigurasi access point seperti SSID, password, pengaturan DHCP dan diimplementasikan di beberapa lantai pada Gedung Nusantara 3. Dari hasil perluasan dan pengujian sistem ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jaringan ini memiliki kelebihan yaitu tidak bergantung pada kabel ethernet sehingga meningkatnya mobilitas karyawan untuk bekerja, jangkauan sinyal yang stabil, dan mendapatkan performa yang cukup baik untuk saling berbagi data dan mengakses internet. / LAN network technology is currently still used in several companies and government agencies, one of which is the government agency of People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI). Technological advances are currently developing very rapidly, one of which is the development of computer networks, namely Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). In this internship activity, WLAN expanded at the MPR RI office by configuring access points such as SSID, password, DHCP settings and implemented on several floors in Nusantara Building 3. From the results of the expansion and testing of this system, it can be concluded that this network has the advantage of not being dependent on an ethernet cable so that employee mobility increases to work, stable signal coverage, and getting good enough performance to share data and access the internet.
