Abstract

Remaja merupakan masa ketika seseorang mengalami transisi dari masa anak ke masa dewasa. Pada masa ini remaja mengalami tahap pembentukan identitas diri yaitu, remaja dapat memahami secara utuh mengenai dirinya. Pemahaman diri merupakan kunci yang sangat penting bagi setiap individu. Pemahaman diri merupakan unsur dasar dan isi dari konsep diri, sehingga terbentuknya identitas diri tidak terlepas dari terbentuknya konsep diri yang dimiliki. Adapun konsep diri seseorang merupakan unsur yang terbentuk dari proses interaksi dirinya dengan lingkungan sehingga, lingkungan memiliki peran yang penting dalam pembentukan diri setiap individu. Konsep diri sudah mulai terbentuk sejak seseorang bayi dengan cara mengamati maupun perlakuan dari lingkungannya. Sejak bayi orang tua merupakan lingkungan pertama yang membangun kelekatan. Namun, beranjak remaja teman-teman sebaya juga dapat menjadi figur lekat yang kedua bagi remaja. Melihat pola tersebut maka, peneliti melakukan penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh parent and peer attachment terhadap self concept pada remaja. Populasi penelitiannya adalah remaja di Provinsi Banten. Partisipan penelitiannya berjumlah 298 remaja dari beberapa Sekolah Menengah Atas.Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengukur kelekatan adalah Inventory Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) dan untuk konsep diri digunakan Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS). Kedua alat ukur yang digunakan adalah versi yang sudah diadaptasi. Hasilnya terdapat pengaruh sebesar 23,7%. / Adolescence is a time when someone experiences a transition from childhood to adulthood. At this time adolescents experience the stage of formation of identityself that is, adolescents can understand fully about themselves. Self-understanding is a very important key for every individual. Self-understanding is a basic element and content of self-concept, so that the formation of self-identity can not be separated from the formation of self-concept that is owned. The person's selfconcept is an element that is formed from the process of interaction with the environment itself, so that the environment has an important role in the formation of each individual. The concept of self has begun to form since a baby by observing and treating the environment. Since infants parents are the first environment to build attachment. However, as a teenager, peers can also become second sticky figures for teenagers. Seeing this pattern, the researchers conducted a study to look at the effect of parent and peer attachment on self concept in adolescents. The research population is teenagers in Banten Province. The study participants numbered 298 adolescents from several high schools. The research instrument used to measure attachment was Inventory Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) and for the self-concept used the Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS). The two measuring instruments used are the adapted version. The result is an influence of 23.7%.
