Land is one of the most important elements in human life, for example for farming or building a place to live and offices to support human life. However, considering that there is a lot of land ownership that is controlled by the community and the need for an infrastructure development by the government in order to support and facilitate as well as increase the level of welfare, land acquisition is needed for the public interest. The problem statement in this thesis is how to provide compensation in the construction of the Pamukkulu Dam in Kale Village Takalar District, and how the legal considerations and judges' decision in Decision Number 15 / Pdt.G / 2018 / PN Tka Juncto Decision No. 3596 K / Pdt / 2018. This type of research used here is juridical normative, using secondary data and qualitative data analysis. The research result of the decision study is that the land acquisition process in Takalar district has not been carried out optimally, especially with regards to the determination of compensation, causing most of the people or landowners with a total of 59 out of 66 people filing objections to the Takalar District Court and the Court's Decision. The district court decision is actually quite good but in its consideration is less careful. Furthermore, the Court of Cassation Decision tends to pay more attention to procedures technically rather than to the principles and objectives of the land acquisition. So it can be concluded that the granting of compensation has not been fully carried out properly by the National Land Agency Team, and including in its decision, the Judge has not fully applied the law properly and in accordance with applicable legal rules such as Law Number 2 of 2012 and Supreme Court Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2016.
