Abstract

Pada era industri 4.0, terdapat dua generasi yang sangat mendominasi angkatan kerja, yaitu Generasi X dan Generasi Y. Dengan berbagai karakteristik yang dimiliki maka perusahaan harus mampu memenej kedua generasi ini dengan baik. Usaha yang dilakukan berlandaskan implementasi nilai dan kebijakan di dalam sebuah organisasi dapat disebut dengan istilah budaya organisasi. Budaya organisasi sendiri terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu budaya yang diimplementasi dalam perusahaan atau disebut dengan actual dan budaya yang lebih disukai oleh karyawan atau disebut dengan preferred dan selisih antara keduanya dapat disebut dengan istilah kesenjangan. Peneliti berasumsi bahwa semakin besar kesenjangan antara actual dan preferred dalam sebuah organisasi maka kepuasan kerja karyawan juga akan semakin menurun atau rendah. Penelitian ini melihat bahwa budaya organisasi yang mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja adalah budaya yang menawarkan fleksibilitas yaitu tipe budaya clan (rs = -0.224, p = 0.032 (< 0.050)) dan adhocracy (rs = -0.229, p = 0.038 (< 0.050)). Selanjutnya, generasi Y cenderung memilih tipe budaya yang menawarkan fleksibilitas yaitu tipe clan (p = 0.029 (< 0.050)) dan tipe adhocracy (p = 0.011 (<0.050)). / In this industrial 4.0 era, there are two generation that dominate the workforce, those two are Generation X and Generation Y. With various characteristics possessed by each generation, surely a company must be able to come up with a solution on how to manage these two generation. The effort that are made based on the implementation of value and norms within a company can be referred to as organizational culture. Organizational culture itself is divided into two, one is the culture that are implemented by the organization or referred to as actual, and the other one is the culture that is preferred by employee or can be referred to as preferred and the difference between the two can be referred to as discrepancies. Researcher assume that the greater the discrepancies between actual and preferred in one organization, employee job satisfaction will also decrease within time. This study that clan (rs = -0.224, p = 0.032 (< 0.050)) and adhocracy (rs = -0.229, p = 0.038 (< 0.050)) culture directly correlate with job satisfaction. Generation Y preferred a more flexible organization culture refer to as clan (p = 0.029 (< 0.050)) and adhocracy culture (p = 0.011 (<0.050)).
