Abstract

Tindak perundungan verbal menjadi salah satu persoalan pelik di SMAK Mario John Boen Pangkalpinang. Para calon seminaris sebelum dididik dan dibina di lembaga pendidikan ini mengikuti penyaringan hidup rohani, moral dan intelektual. Dalam proses pembelajaran ditemukan tindak perundungan verbal yang merugikan seminaris. Untuk itu, diteliti penyebab, dampak, dan solusinya bagi seminaris. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Fokus peneliti pada masalah tindak perundungan verbal yang terjadi pada proses pembelajaran di kelas XI dan XII. Masing-masing kelas berjumlah 24 dan 10 dalam kurun waktu tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan datanya observasi participant, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah tindak perundungan verbal disebabkan karena iklim kelas, pelaku pernah mengalami perundungan, ekspresi sikap berbela rasa dan rasa empati yang rendah. Dampaknya: Bagi pelaku: konsentrasi belajar terganggu, motivasi belajar rendah, prestasi belajar menurun, dan motivasi belajar meningkat. Bagi korban: motivasi belajar rendah, prestasi belajar menurun, tidak fokus belajar, dan motivasi belajar meningkat. Bagi penonton (bystanders): konsentrasi belajar terganggu, motivasi belajar rendah dan tidak mengganggu proses belajar mengajar yang berlangsung di kelas. Sementara, solusinya peranan pamong asrama dan pembimbing rohani cukup signifikan untuk mengatasi tindak perundungan verbal, yaitu memberi tugas menulis refleksi, corecctio fraterna dan pengakuan dosa. / Verbal bullying is one of the complicated issues at Mario John Boen High School in Pangkalpinang. The seminary candidates, before being educated and nurtured in this educational institution are filtered by spiritual, moral and intellectual life. However, in the learning process verbal bullying is found to be detrimental to seminarians. For this reason, the causes, impacts and solutions of seminarians are examined. In this study the researchers used qualitative research methods with a case study research design. The researcher focused on the verbal bullying problem occurred in the learning process in XI and XII class. Each class consists of 24 and 10 students in the 2019/2020 school year. The data collecting technique used are participant observation, interviews, and document studies. The results found were verbal bullying caused by the class climate, the perpetrators had experienced harassment, expression of compassion and low empathy. Impact for perpetrators: impaired learning concentration, low learning motivation, decreased learning achievement, and increased learning motivation. For victims: low learning motivation, decreased learning achievement, unfocused learning, and increased learning motivation. For the audience (bystanders): the concentration of learning is disrupted, motivation to learn is low and does not interfere with the teaching and learning process that takes place in class. Meanwhile, the solution to the role of the hostel chief and the spiritual guide is significant enough to overcome verbal bullying, namely giving the task of writing reflections, corecctio fraterna and confession of sins.
