Trademarks are known as tools that have distinguishing features, which provide economic value to it owners. Trademarks are now develop from a traditional trademark into a non-traditional. Indonesia has just regulated the non-traditional trademark in the Law Of The Republic Indonesia number 20 of 2016 on Marks and Geographical Indications. This law regulated four types of non-traditional trademarks, including color combinations, three dimensional shape mark, sound and hologram. Among the four non-traditional trademark, three-dimensional mark have the potential to be similar to industrial designs. In this thesis, writer want to explain about the law protection for 3 Dimensional Shape Mark Based on the new Indonesia Trademark Law. Also, writer use a type of normative and empirical research methods with primary and secondary data. To collect this data, writer uses library study and interview with related parties. These data are analyzed by using qualitative data and statue approach base on the trademark law in Indonesia. Based on the analysis of this thesis, Indonsia trademark law protect 3 Dimensional Shape Mark by registering to Directorate General of Intellectual Property. The application must not acceptable if there is no distinguished features. However there are some advantages if a three dimensional shape registered in trademark, design industry or both of them.
