Assets in marriage are a very influential problem in the lives of husband and wife, especially when a husband or wife is acting alone on the joint property. Thus the Marriage Law has governed the Joint Assets that are important in family life even when the marriage is still running smoothly. Joint assets are property or proceeds of wealth obtained during a marriage. Joint assets represent property or proceeds of wealth obtained from the work of husband and wife still have the rights to these assets. Given the importance of family property in a marriage, this study wants to find out what if a husband or wife acting alone on shared property is viewed from the perspective of the marriage law and the Civil Code. The method used in this study is a normative research method, or a literature study that is a study conducted or based on the conditions that should be. This research found that according to the provisions of the marriage law that property obtained during marriage becomes joint property. And Article 36 Paragraph (1) of the Marriage Law stipulates that "regarding assets together with a husband or wife can act with the agreement of both parties." together in the household and if you want to act on joint property must be with the knowledge and agreement of both parties.
