Abstract

A committed teacher positively influences his/her respective school. However, this commitment cannot be born without the factors that enables its growth. In this research these factors are transformational leadership, workplace spirituality, and job satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the effects of transformational leadership, workplace spirituality, and job satisfaction on employee commitment. The subjects of this research are thirtythree teachers in Mentari Intercultural School Grand Surya Jakarta Barat who are identified with employee commitment problems. This research utilizes PLS-SEM with quantitative approach. The result obtained shows that transformational leadership has a positive effect on workplace spirituality, workplace spirituality has a positive effect on employee commitment, transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee commitment, transformational leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive effect on employee commitment, transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee commitment through workplace spirituality, and transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee commitment through job satisfaction. / Seorang guru yang berkomitmen memberikan dampak yang positif bagi kemajuan sebuah sekolah. Namun, tidak serta merta komitmen lahir tanpa didukung oleh banyak faktor yang dapat menumbuhkannya. Dalam penelitian ini, faktor-faktor tersebut meliputi aspek transformational leadership, job satisfaction dan employee commitment. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari transformational leadership, workplace spirituality, dan job satisfaction terhadap employee commitment. Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru-guru di Mentari Intercultural School Grand Surya Jakarta Barat, yang berjumlah 33 orang, teridentifikasi dengan problematika employee commitment. Desain penelitian menggunakan PLS-SEM dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa transformational leadership mempengaruhi workplace spirituality secara positif, workplace spirituality mempengaruhi employee commitment secara positif, transformational leadership mempengaruhi employee commitment secara positif, transformational leadership mempengaruhi job satisfaction secara positif, job satisfaction mempengaruhi employee commitment secara positif, transformational leadership mempengaruhi employee commitment melalui workplace spirituality secara positif, transformational leadership mempengaruhi employee commitment melalui job satisfaction secara positif.
