Background: Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI) is a disease that many children have experienced, and the most common type of URTI is rhinitis or common cold that affected the children. Breast Milk has many important components, such as colostrum that contain body defense system like IgM and IgG which is useful in the prevention of respiratory diseases such as URTIs. Good mother's knowledge also can increased the exclusive breastfeeding's giving to their children. Methods: The population in this study were 45 infants with the age of 6 to 12 months who were patients of Siloam General Hospital. Sampling will be done by consecutive sampling technique with cross-sectional design. Statistical analytic will be done with chi-square technique. Result: The result of this research shows significant result ( p = 0.016) between exclusive breastfeeding and good mother's knowledge with URTI and with exclusive breastfeeding and good mother's knowledge can giving the protective factor of 0.175 (OR=0.175, 95% CI= 0.043-0.707) / Infcksi Saluran Pernafasan Alas ( ISPA) adalali sualu pcnyakil yang banyak dialami anak-anak dan pcnyakil ISPA yang tcrsering pada bayi dan balita adalah rhinitis atau common cold.ASI mempimyai banyak komponen yang sangat penling, scpcrti koloslTiim yang mcngandung sislem perlalianan tubuh scperti IgM dan IgG yang bermanfaat dalam pencegalian pcnyakil rcspirasi scpcrti ISPA. Pcngctahuan ibu yang baik juga dapal mcningkatkan peinbcrian ASI Eksklusif pada anaknya. Mctodc Pciiclirinn: Populasi pada pcnelitian ini adalali 45 bayi yang berumur 6 sampai dcngan 12 bulan yang dalang ke Rumali Sakit Umum Siloam. Pengambilan sampel akan dilakukan dengan teknik consecutive sampling dengan desain crosssectional. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji statistik Chi-square. Hasil Pcnelitian : Hasil penelitian menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan antara pemberian ASI ekeklusif dan pengetahuan ibu yang baik terhadap ISPA (p=0.016), dan dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dan pengetahuan ibu yang baik dapat memberikan faktor protektif sebesar 0.175 terhadap ISPA (OR= 0.175, 95% CI= 0.043-0.707)
