Stock audit is generally defined as a physical verification of an inventory. In this case, the inventory that becomes the object of the stock audit concerns the credit and security documents of Bank X. The legal basis of such project can be found in the Regulation of the Central Bank of Indonesia Number 11/25/PBI/2009 regarding the Amendment of the Regulation of the Central Bank of Indonesia Number 5/8/PBI/2003 regarding the Application of Risk Management for Public Banks and the Regulation of the Indonesian Financial Services Authority Number 18/POJK.03/2016 concerning the Application of Risk Management for Public Banks. In order to comply with these two aforementioned regulations regarding risk management of public bank, Bank X decided to conduct an internal stock audit project of its credit and security documents with the help of Armand Yapsunto Muharamsyah and Partners (AYMP) Atelier of Law. The reasons behind the stock audit project are twofold. First, Bank X would like to check the availability of the credit and security documents physically in its inventory. Second, by knowing the availability status of those documents, Bank X can exonerate itself from the credit and legal risks that will ensue if Bank X does not have a complete set of credit and security documents at its inventory. This internship report provides the readers with the comprehensive step-by-step process of the stock audit project and also the various obstacles that were faced as well as solutions to the said obstacles. Last but not least, this report will also highlight the important role of AYMP lawyers in the stock audit project.
