Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan academic irrational beliefs pada mahasiswa Universitas X yang memiliki prestasi tinggi dan mahasiswa yang memiliki prestasi rendah. Peneliti mengambil data dari 126 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X, menggunakan alat ukur untuk mengukur academic irrational beliefs yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan dimensi irrational belief yaitu demands, awfulizing beliefs, low frustration tolerance belief, dan self-depreciation/other-depreciation/life depreciation belief. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada academic irrational beliefs mahasiswa yang memiliki IPK tinggi dan rendah (t(126) = -3.338, p = .001). Kelompok mahasiswa berprestasi tinggi memperoleh skor academic irrational beliefs M = 112.43 (SD = 16.99) dan kelompok mahasiswa berprestasi rendah M = 102.30 (SD = 16.99).
