Abstract

Pada beberapa lapak bahan bangunan banyak ditemukan kayu-kayu bekas dalam jumlah besar, yang secara visual masih bagus dan dimensinya memenuhi persyaratan untuk digunakan lagi. Hanya saja tidak ada informasi jenis dan mutu kayu. Agar bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai elemen struktur maka mengidentifikasi mutu kayu adalah penting. Pada penelitian ini petunjuk pemilahan mekanik SNI 7973-2013 akan dipakai. Kayu-kayu bekas akan dievaluasi pada kondisi apa adanya untuk diuji MOE dan diklasifikasikan mutu kayu menurut SNI 7973-2013. Hasilnya akan dievaluasi dengan uji lentur merusak (MOR). Strategi yang sama juga diterapkan pada kayu yang terindentifikasi, sekedar untuk membuktikan bahwa identifikasi mutu kayu yang digunakan tersebut valid untuk semua kondisi kayu struktur. Pada penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kayukayu bekas tersebut dapat teridentifikasi mutunya, dengan hasil yang konservatif. / There have been a vast number of used woods found in construction material shops, having good visual appearances as well as proper geometry to be re-utilised as structural part. Nevertheless, no information is available regarding the type and quality of timber. In order to be used as a structural element, identifying timber quality is important. In the study the national norm of SNI 7973-2013 will be used as the guideline to perform the grading attempt. The unrecognised, used timber will be evaluated in its current condition to get MOE, later to be classified with SNI 7973-2013. The results will be further evaluated by means of a destructive test (MOR). The same strategy is also applied to the recognised timber to prove that the grading classification system according to SNI is valid for all timber conditions. In this study, it can be concluded that the quality of the used timber can be identified, with conservative results.
