This thesis explains about the development of academic information system at SSR Jakarta. The purposes of this academic information system are to provide academic information for students and facilitate SSR Jakarta s staff to manage academic information for students, such as class schedules, study results, announcements, and payments. Students and teachers can also book studios and administrative staff will response for that requests. Currently, SSR Jakarta still uses a manual system to provide academic information for students. The proposed system is a web-based application, that will be able to help students and SSR Jakarta’s staff in carrying out their duties. The method used to develop the system is evolutionary prototyping. It begins with planning phase to determine feasibility analysis. In analysis phase, requirement gathering techniques are conducted to determine the requirements for the new system. The results are modeled using UML 2.0 diagrams. In design phase, database is designed along with the interface of the system. In implementation phase, the system is built with PHP language and tested with black-box testing. The result of analysis and design process is a new system that can facilitate staff to provide academic information for students. They can access or manage the academic information through the website.
