Abstract
In order to pursue its security, the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) serves as an important platform for Indonesia for its foreign policy in pursuing its security interest. It does so by ensuring no country in the region will interfere with its domestic affairs and to prevent Southeast Asia from being ruled by any preponderant Great Powers. Currently with Great Powers pursuing strategies in the Indo-Pacific, Indonesia pushed for the creation of ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific (AOIP). This research seeks to investigate how Indonesia use ASEAN as a platform of its foreign policy and how the ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific would serve Indonesia’s security interest in Indo-Pacific regional arrangement.
