Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kerugian dari prostitusi melebihi manfaat. Norwegia dipilih sebagai studi kasus dengan alasan bahwa mereka adalah salah satu negara pertama yang menerapkan Model Nordic sebagai bagian dari kebijakan negara; dan ingin melihat apakah ada perubahan dalam situasi di sana untuk menunjukkan bahwa Nordic Model dapat berhasil atau tidak. Analisis kuantitatif di terapkan untuk penelitian ini; buku, jurnal, artikel berita, dan wawancara dengan pihak-pihak yang bertanggung jawab disimak sebagai pengumpulan data. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahaya dari prostitusi melebihi manfaatnya secara signifikan. Ada perubahan besar pada masalah prostitusi di Norwegia setelah mereka mengimplikasikan Nordic Model, meskipun masih banyak hal yang dapat diperbaiki. / The goal of this research is to find whether the harms of prostitution overweigh the benefits. Norway is chosen as a case study for the reason that it is one of the first country to implement the Nordic Model as part of the policies; and would like to see if there are any changes in their situation to indicate if the Nordic Model can be successful or not. Quantitative analysis is suited for this research; books, journals, news article, and prevision interviews with responsible parties are reviewed as data gathering. The findings have shown that the harms have overweigh the benefits quite significantly. There are also considerable changes to the issue in Norway after implicating the Nordic Model, although they still have much room to improve on.
