Abstract
Sekarang ini sudah banyak orang tua yang memilih anak mereka untuk beraktivitas di dalam rumah. Hal ini dipicu oleh kesibukan orang tua, faktor keamanan, dan berbagai faktor lainnya. Untuk anak usia pra-sekolah, waktu bersekolah biasanya sekitar 2-3 jam sehari, membuat sisa waktu mereka dihabiskan di dalam rumah. Hal ini membuat orang tua sebisa mungkin melengkapi rumah mereka dengan berbagai mainan untuk mengedukasi anak mereka. Oleh karena itu penulis mendesain sebuah coffee table yang dipadukan dengan penerapan mainan edukasi Montessori untuk anak usia 3-6 tahun. Untuk studi ini, penulis melakukan wawancara dengan salah seorang guru di sekolah Montessori di Tangerang, dan juga melakukan FGD kepada 5 orang ibu yang mengetahui tentang Montessori,hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui mainan Montessori seperti apa yang mereka sukai. Penulis juga mencari tahu esensi dari mainan montessori. Hal ini menjadi dasar bagi penulis untuk melanjutkan studi ini. Produk ini diharapkan dapat membantu orang tua dalam mengedukasi anak mereka di rumah sehingga tumbuh kembang anak dapat lebih maksimal. Dengan memadukan mainan edukasi dengan coffee tabel, ini dapat memaksimalkan area ruang keluarga. Coffee table dapat tetap mempercantik area ruang keluarga. / Nowadays, many parents who prefer there child to do activities inside the house. It was triggered by the parents jobs, safety factor, and other various factors. For pre-school children, school time which is generally only 2-3 hours a day, makes the rest of their time spent at home. This is make parents as much as possible to equip their house with various toys to educate their child. Therefore, the author designed a Coffee table with the application of Montessori educational toys for child 3-6 years old. For this study, the authors conducted interview with a teacher at the Montessori school in Tangerang, and. the authors also conducted FGD to 5 mothers who knew about Montessori method, it was done to find out what toys parents interested. The author also conducts research on the essence of Montessori products. This is the basis for the authors to continue this study. This product can help parents to educate children at home so that the child's growth and development at home can be maximized. By integrating this educational toy with a coffee table, it can maximize the living room area. coffee table can still beautify the living room area.
