Abstract

Industri mebel di Vietnam menempati peringkat pertama se-ASEAN dalam bidang mengekspor kayu dan mebel. New Elegant Ltd. merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang berjalan di bidang ini dan memiliki target pasar yang berada di kelas menengah ke bawah, yaitu kaum milenial. Permintaan klien akan mebel harga murah, membuat perusahan memiliki keterbatasan dalam jenis dan bentuk desain. Selain harga, penampilan dari mebel juga menjadi pertimbangan klien dalam menentukan pilihan. Maka dari itu, perusahaan ingin mengembangkan color panel agar dapat menawarkan lebih banyak pilihan finishing kepada klien. Dari berbagai jenis finishing, percobaan difokuskan pada pengembangan physical treatment, karena selama ini perusahaan hanya memiliki sedikit varian tekstur. Dengan perancangan dan pengembangan tekstur itu, akan memberikan banyak varian finishing yang dapat meningkatkan nilai jual dari bentuk mebel yang sederhana. / The furniture industry in Vietnam ranks first as an ASEAN in the export of timber and furniture. New Elegant Ltd. is a company that runs in this field and has a target market in the middle-lower class, namely Millennials. Client demand will be furniture at low prices, making this company has limitations in the type and shape of the design. Besides the price, the appearance of furniture is also a client's consideration in determining options. Therefore, the company wants to develop a color panel to offer more finishing options to the client. Of the various types of finishing, the experiment focused on the development of physical treatment, because the company has few texture variants during this time. With the design and development of the texture, there will be many finishing variants that can increase the selling value of a simple furniture form.
