Abstract
budaya pembuangan limbah rumah tangga masyarakat. Produk diharapkan dapat
perlahan-lahan membiasakan gaya hidup pemisahan limbah pada masyarakat
Indonesia. / Plastic is a material which from the beginning of the manufacturing process, until the
end of its life cycle is not environmentally friendly. However, the things that interest
its users are the low price, as well as its waterproof, plasticity, and easily shaped
nature made it applicable to many products. This has led to the high use of
disposable or single use plastics in the daily life of the general public, resulting in
high numbers of plastic waste as well. The nature of plastics that cannot be
decomposed naturally but broken down into microplastics is the first focus of
problem in this project. Thus, material exploration was carried out in the production
of vegetable-based bioplastics with the addition of organic fillers as reinforcing
material and an element of innovation. This material is expected to decompose
and/or biodegrade naturally with a more environmentally friendly life cycle.
Products produced with the use of this material are disposable. Waste container is
chosen as the final product to be used as an option strategy to solve the habitual
problems of general household waste disposal. The product is expected to gradually
familiarize the lifestyle of waste separation in Indonesian society.
