Abstract

Beroperasinya MRT fase satu di Jakarta menciptakan dinamika ruang gerak kota yang baru yang menghidupkan bagian bagian kota dimana terminal MRT berada. Pola bepergian dari dominasi pada kendaraan pribadi kemudian bergeser kepada penggunaan transit (transportasi publik) dan berjalan kaki. Kebiasan baru berjalan kaki membuka cara pandang baru tentang pengalaman ruang kota khususnya bagi pejalan kaki termasuk interaksi dengan bangunan, aktivitas dan infrastruktur di sekitarnya. Penataan ruang urban berorientasi pada pergerakan transit dan pejalan kaki menjadi tuntutan perancangan kota saat ini. Koridor Fatmawati sebagai jalur yang terdampak kehadiran MRT (Bundaran HI – Lebak Bulus) menjadi lebih hidup terutama di tapak sekitar terminal MRT. Kawasan ini identik dengan tipologi bangunan komersil sedang (pertokoan, perkantoran) dan mix use (ruko). Perkembangan moda transit dan kebiasaan berjalan kaki tidak terakomodasi baik dalam rancangan tapak sebelumnya yang berorientasi pada pengguna kendaraan pribadi. Integrasi dan konektivitas antara elemen elemen ruang kota yang buruk menjadi sorotan utama di koridor ini. Riset ini ditujukan untuk menemukan elemen dan kriteria dari sebuah ruang publik jalan yang memberikan pengalaman ruang yang cair bagi pejalan kaki untuk dapat diterapkan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metoda studi literatur dan studi lapangan serta didukung studi preseden dari kawasan sebanding. Teori teori ruang jalan dan kriterianya, teori jaringan ruang kota, teori tentang konektivitas serta teori ruang kota dan kriterianya termasuk pendekatan soft city di kaji untuk memberikan data elemen elemen ruang kota yang penting dan relevan untuk diterapkan di koridor Fatmawati khususnya di tapak penelitian. Metode studi lapangan dipandu oleh elemen elemen yang tersintesa dari analisa sebelumnya, dilakukan untuk mendapatkan rancangan ruang jalan dengan konektivitas dan kecairan ruang antar publik khususnya bagi pejalan kaki. Hasil dari analisa berupa rangkuman permasalahan di tapak penelitian terkait integrasi elemen elemen ruang kota dan pengalaman ruang yang terkait aktivitas pedestrian yang kemudian menjadi fokus observasi peluang integrasi dan peningkatan konektivitas antar elemen elemen kota yang lebih cair di tapak penelitian. / The operation of the first phase MRT in Jakarta creates the dynamics of the new urban space which enlivens the parts of the city where the MRT terminal is located. Travel patterns change from being dominated by private vehicles to transit facility (public transportation) and walking. New habits of walking open up new perspectives on the experience of urban space specifically for pedestrians, including interactions with buildings, activities and surrounding infrastructure. Urban spatial planning is oriented to the movement of transit and pedestrians being the demands of current urban design. The Fatmawati Corridor as a pathway affected by the presence of phase one MRT (Bundaran HI – Lebak Bulus ) has become more lively, especially in the area around the MRT terminal. This area is identical with the typology of medium commercial buildings (shops, offices) and mix use (shop houses). The development of transit modes and walking habits have not been well accomodated in previous designs that favor private vehicle users. Poor integration and connectivity between urban space elements are the main concern in this corridor. This research is aimed at discovering the elements and criteria of a public road space that gives pedestrian experience to a liquid space that can be applied. The research is conducted using literature study and field study methods and supported by precedent studies from comparable regions. The theory of road space theory and its criteria, the theory of urban space network theory, the theory of connectivity and the theory of urban space and its criteria including the soft city approach are examined to provide data on elements of important and relevant urban space elements to be applied in the Fatmawati corridor especially in the research site. The field study method is guided by elements synthesized from the previous analysis carried out to obtain a road space design with inter-public connectivity and liquidity. The results of the analysis in the form of a summary of problems in the research site related to the intergration of elements of urban space elements and space experience related to pedestrian activities which then becomes the focus of observation of intergration opportunities and increased connectivity between elements of the city elements that are more fluid in the research site.
