Abstract

Occupational safety and health of the cooling tower reconditioned workers at PT APF project, received the author's attention. The cooling tower construction is made of wooden structure. Reconditioned workers, wearing personal protective equipment in accordance with applicable regulations. At least workers wear protective equipment, but the authors analyze the usefulness of the protective equipment that the workers use. It is very important to gear up protective equipment while reconditioning cooling tower, because workers never know what might happen, wooden structure could collapse at any time. The author is concerned about the safety of workers, the safety of workers is threatened and even claimed lives. In order to avoid things that are not desirable, the authors design a products and systems in the form of safety tools for cooling tower reconditioned workers who are stationed at PT APF. / Keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja para tenaga kerja rekondisi cooling tower pada proyek PT APF mendapat perhatian penulis. Konstruksi cooling tower yang terdapat di PT APF terbuat dari struktur kayu. Pekerja rekondisi, mengenakan alat pelindung diri sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Setidaknya pekerja mengenakan alat pelindung, namun penulis menganalisa kegunaan dari alat pelindung yang pekerja gunakan. Sangat amat penting alat pelindung pada pengerjaan rekondisi cooling tower, karena pekerja tidak pernah tau jika sebatang struktur kayu cooling tower dapat sewaktu – waktu rubuh. Penulis prihatin akan keselamatan pekerja apabila keselamatan pekerja terancam bahkan dapat merenggut nyawa. Demi menghindari hal – hal yang tidak diinginkan, penulis merancang produk dan sistem yang berupa alat keselamatan bagi para pekerja rekondisi cooling tower yang bertempatkan di PT APF.
