Abstract

Kemitraan Komprehensif Indonesia – Amerika Serikat adalah salah satu kerjasama internasional yang dilakukan oleh Indonesia dan AS, dengan dasar equal partnership dan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan hubungan bilateral Indonesia dan AS. Kemitraan ini disepakati pada 9 November 2010, oleh Obama dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Dalam kemitraan ini ada banyak bidang yang menjadi cakupannya, salah satunya adalah pendidikan. USAID adalah salah satu lembaga negara yang berperan dalam kemitraan komprehensif ini. Melalui pendidikan ada banyak pencapaian yang dirasakan oleh Indonesia dan AS dalam kemitraan ini. Untuk itu peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana penerapan kemitraan komprehensif dalam bidang pendidikan melalui USAID, dan bagaimana kerjasama ini bisa memperkuat hubungan bilateral Indonesia dan AS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan data sekunder, melalui studi pustaka dan pencarian data melalui internet. Melalui kemitraan komprehensif Indonesia – Amerika Serikat dalam bidang pendidikan ini, hubungan Indonesia dan AS mengalami peningkatan yang cukup baik. Pendidikan adalah satu bidang yang menjadi penguat hubungan bilateral Indonesia dan AS. Dalam kemitraan ini hubungan Indonesia semakin dipererat melalui people to people contact dan people to people exchange. USAID menjadi salah satu motor utama dalam kemitraan ini di bidang pendidikan. / The Comprehensive Partnership of Indonesia-United States is one of the international collaborations conducted by Indonesia and the United States, based on an equal partnership and an effort to improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States. This partnership was agreed on November 9th, 2010, by Obama and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. There are many fields in this partnership involving the scope, one of that is education. USAID is one of the institution playing a role in this comprehensive partnership. Through education, there are many achievements gained by Indonesia and the US in this partnership. Researcher, therefore, would like to know how the implementation of comprehensive partnerships in education through USAID is, and how this collaboration is able to strengthen the bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States.This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis research method. Meanwhile, data collection is established with secondary data, through literature studies and data searches via the internet. Through this comprehensive partnership between Indonesia and the United States in the field of education, the relationship between Indonesia and the United States has been enhancing quite well. Education is an area strengthening the bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States. In this partnership, Indonesia's relations are increasingly tightened through either people to people contact or people to people exchange. USAID is one of the main motors in this partnership, in the field of education.
