Abstract
After financial crisis that engulf Indonesia in 1997, citizen need occupation with satisfying income within short amount of time which droves multi-level marketing company to enter Indonesia market. As multi-level marketing that use leveled marketing network, it is necessary to have customer who in the future can become business partner who can help the company to sell the product that they have use. Unfortunately, this business practice was underestimated because a lot of fraud cases that masked as multi-level marketing and gain great amount of total loss. Indonesia Trade Law and Trade Ministry Regulation No. 32/2008, the government rules the practice of multi-level marketing business in Indonesia. Through this research the rules that govern the practice of multi-level marketing business will be assessed, and the implementation of the rules on the practice of multi-level marketing business / Setelah krisis moneter yang melanda Indonesia pada tahun 1997, masyarakat membutuhkan pekerjaan dengan hasil yang memuaskan dalam waktu yang singkat sehingga perusahaan multi-level marketing berbondong-bondong datang ke Indonesia. Sebagai perusahaan multi-level marketing yang menggunakan jaringan pemasaran berjenjang, dibutuhkan konsumen yang nantinya dapat menjadi mitra usaha dan menjualkan produk yang pernah dikonsumsi. Sayangnya, praktek usaha ini dipandang sebelah mata masyarakat karena banyaknya kasus-kasus penipuan yang menggunakan multi-level marketing sebagai kedok dan meraup total kerugian sangat besar. Dengan UU Perdagangan dan Permendag No. 32/2008 pemerintah mengatur tentang pelaksanaan usaha multi-level marketing di Indonesia. Melalui penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai peraturan yang mengatur praktek usaha multi-level marketing serta, implementasi dari peraturan tersebut atas kegiatan usaha ini. Berdasarkan peraturan yang ada, pemerintah sudah banyak mengatur praktek usaha multi-level marketing
