Abstract

In every company, the role of human resources is indeed important and needed in order to obtain specific goals. Having qualified employees who have high-performed skill will also help in achieving those goals. Employee job performance can be affected by so many factors in which one of them is compensation. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence that compensation has on employee job performance at PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. The data collected for this research will be done through observation, interview and questionnaire that will be answered by the employees. As the population of this research is 38, the sample of this research will be 38 as well which consist of all the employees at PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. The pre-test is done by distributing the questionnaire to 30 employees outside the company itself. The data analysis methods that are being used in this research are descriptive statistics, validity and reliability test, classic assumption test and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the the coefficient of determination test result showed that 73.6% of compensation influenced employee job performance. The t-test result also showed compensation has positive and significance influence on employee job performance at PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. As recommendation, company is expected to pay more attention on the compensation system. However, beside compensation, there are also other factors that company should consider such as work motivation and discipline which are not discussed in this research. / Di setiap perusahaan, peran sumber daya manusia memang penting dan dibutuhkan untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Memiliki karyawan yang memenuhi syarat dan memiliki keterampilan berkinerja tinggi juga akan membantu dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut. Kinerja kerja karyawan dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor di mana salah satunya adalah kompensasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. Data yang dikumpulkan untuk penelitian ini akan dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner yang akan dijawab oleh karyawan. Sebagai populasi penelitian ini adalah 38, sampel penelitian ini akan menjadi 38 juga yang terdiri dari semua karyawan di PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. Pra-tes dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada 30 karyawan di luar perusahaan itu sendiri. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa 73,6% kompensasi mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Hasil uji-t juga menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT.Bintang Agung Sukses, Medan. Sebagai rekomendasi, perusahaan diharapkan lebih memperhatikan sistem kompensasi. Namun, selain kompensasi, ada juga faktor lain yang harus dipertimbangkan perusahaan seperti motivasi kerja dan disiplin yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.
