Abstract

Peace is desired by everyone in living this life. A peaceful life, calm in the heart and have a sense of security, no violence, no war. In a Christian perspective, peace (shalom) has a deep meaning, not just peace and security. Shalom is present in a person first himself reconciled with God, so he has a good relationship with God, loves God and loves others and is responsible for the nature of His creation. Erenos School is a Christian school that has a vision to bring peace. The author has the burden of researching the extent to which peace is manifested in the community of teachers. The author would like to examine the impact of the extent to which spiritual development programs on teachers in building servant leadership characteristics, so that the role of real teachers in bringing peace. The method in this study is a qualitative phenomenological research with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, semi-structured, and observation. The validity of the data in this study was tested by source triangulation. The results of the research show that the spiritual development program helps the spiritual growth of teachers in the formation of servant leadership characteristics that have an important role in bringing about peace. / Damai sejahtera didambakan oleh setiap orang dalam menjalani kehidupan ini. Kehidupan yang tentram, tenang di dalam hati dan memiliki rasa aman, tidak ada kekerasan, tidak ada perang. Dalam perspektif Kristen, damai sejahtera (shalom) mempunyai makna yang dalam, tidak sekadar tentram dan aman. Shalom hadir di dalam diri seseorang terlebih dahulu dirinya didamaikan dengan Allah, sehingga dia memiliki relasi yang baik dengan Tuhan, mengasihi Tuhan dan mengasihi sesama serta bertanggung jawab terhadap alam ciptaan-Nya. Sekolah Erenos adalah sekolah Kristen yang memiliki visi untuk mendatangkan damai sejahtera. Penulis memiliki beban untuk meneliti sejauh mana damai sejahtera terwujud dalam komunitas para guru. Penulis ingin meneliti dampak sejauh mana program pembinaan kerohanian terhadap para guru dalam membangun karakteristik kepemimpinan pelayan, sehingga peran para guru nyata dalam mendatangkan damai sejahtera. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, semi tersetruktur, dan observasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan triangulasi sumber. Adapun hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pembinaan kerohanian membantu pertumbuhan kerohanian para guru dalam pembentukan karakteristik kepemimpinan pelayan yang memiliki peranan penting dalam mendatangkan damai sejahtera.
