Abstract

Media menggunakan framing untuk memengaruhi cara orang merespons laporan berita. Berita global yang saat ini telah menjadi topik perbincangan di media online adalah terkait dengan penyebaran virus corona. Kemunculan dan penyebaran virus corona di China menyebarkan xenophobia dan rasisme terhadap etnis China. Pada kasus virus corona, penduduk etnis China menjadi orang yang ditakuti akan membawa penyebaran virus corona karena asal muasal virus tersebut terjadi pada etnis China di Wuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis framming. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan data sekunder dengan dokumentasi dan studi pustaka menggunakan dokumen berupa media online luar negeri berupa negara China, Korea Selatan, Iran, Italia, Jepang yang melakukan pemberitaan virus korona yang dikaitkan dengan rasisme etnis China. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis framing menurut Entman. Kesimpulannya bahwa pembingkaian berita Rasisme Etnis China di China Daily, Korea Times, Al Jazeera, The Local and Japan Today dapat dipengaruhi oleh hubungan antar negara China dengan negara-negara lain. Perbedaannya Media Online asia hanya memberitakan masyarakatnya saja yang mengalami rasisme di berbagai dunia, sedangkan Media Online Italia memberitakan rasisme etnis cina yang terjadi di Italia bukan yang terjadi di negara lain, dan Al-Jazeera memberitakan latar belakang terjadinya rasisme dan mengulang-ulang berita yang diberitakan oleh media online asia dengan menawarkan headline yang berbeda sedangkan secara substansi isinya sama dan untuk Japan Today Juga memberitakan masyarakat Jepang yang terkena dampak Rasisme di Italia bukan memberitakan rasisme terhadap etnis cina. / The media uses framing to influence how people respond the news. Global news which has now become a topic of conversation in online media is related to the spread of the corona virus. The emergence and spread of the corona virus in China spread xenophobia and racism towards ethnic Chinese. In the case of the corona virus, the ethnic Chinese population became the feared people who would bring the spread of the corona virus because the origin of the virus occurred in ethnic Chinese in Wuhan. This study uses a qualitative interpretive approach with framming analysis. Data collection was carried out with secondary data with documentation and literature study using documents in the form of foreign online media in the form of China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Japan which carried out the corona virus reporting related to Chinese ethnic racism. Data were analyzed using framing analysis by Entman. News Framing of Racism Etnic Chinese in China Daily, Korea Times, Al Jazeera, The Local and Japan Today can be influenced by relations between China and other countries. The similarity regarding racism actions towards ethnic Chinese in the world, The differences is Asian Online Media only reports on the people who experience racism in the world, while Italian Online Media reports on ethnic Chinese racism that occurs in Italy, not in other countries, and Al-Jazeera reports on the background of racism and repeats the news reported by Asian online media by offering different headlines while the substance is substantially the same and for Japan Today It also reports that Japanese people affected by Racism in Italy are not preaching racism against ethnic Chinese.
